Hi, I'm Dom. I make sure local businesses get seen online.

I help your brand sound like you online: branding tailored to your business, that works as well as it looks. In an age of AI, everything online is starting to look and sound the same. AI slop everywhere. Generic captions, template websites, the same three buzzwords on every page. People remember the places that sound like a real person.

Where I come from

I grew up in Germany, in a family where there was always a business around. Shops, customers and long days were just normal.

Growing up around the family business is where we realised how important social media is. Hardly anyone finds a place by walking past anymore, they find it on their phone first, and what they see there decides whether they come in. Working in cafes and bars showed the same thing from the other side of the counter.

That stuck. A great place can stay invisible if nobody sees it online.

How I ended up in Nelson

After school I wanted to see something properly different, so New Zealand it was.

Nelson wasn't the plan, it was just where I landed. It's a small town between the mountains and the sea, with a lot of sun, a creative crowd and more independent places than you'd expect: cafes, makers, markets, family-run shops. Everyone seems to know someone, and people actually go where they've been told is good.

That's what got me. The places that do well here are the ones with a real person behind them, and that's exactly the kind of business I like helping. Nobody needs a faceless website, they need one that feels like walking through the door.

So Nelson stopped being a stop and turned into home. I'm based here now, making websites and videos for local businesses, and I'd always rather sit down with you in person than send a form back and forth.

Working with me

Come by, tell me what you're after and we take it from there. Before anything gets made it's about how you talk, what you sell and who your customers are, so it sounds like you and not like everyone else.

You see a real draft early, not a finished thing dropped on you at the end. We shape it together until it feels like you, and I'll tell you plainly what I'm doing and why, no jargon.

Once it's live I'm still around. If your hours, prices or photos change, just message me and it's sorted. And a coffee is always fine.

Let's talk about your site.
